Zone of the Enders HD Collection Limited Edition Revealed

The upcoming Zone of the Enders HD Collection for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will also be available in a Limited Edition release, publisher Konami announced this week. New PS3 Drops 9/28

The iconic PlayStation 3 has had a makeover. Slimmer & sleeker, the PS3 is 50% smaller than the original PS3's size (down to only 4.63 lbs.), but it's almost double the hard drive space. There will be two models available: the 500GB is set to drop on 9/28 & will be bundled with FIFA13, Assassin's Creed 3 or Harry Potter: Book of Spells, along with Sony's Wonderbook "Paperipheral." The 250GB version will drop 10/12 & will include Uncharted 3: Drakes's Deception.  File 13884

WIlco's Trippy "Sunloathe" Video

Wilco have released a new animated video for Sunloathe off The Whole Love album. The video opens with an angry mob of torch wielding cats who drive the robotic resident out of its cottage & into the forest. This scene sets the tone for the video - misunderstood creatures that are looking for a place of refuge. Artist Nathaniel Murphy gives the video a children's book feel that works very well with the easy tone of the song.

Kingdom Hearts HD Collection Headed to PlayStation 3

Kingdom Hearts -- the celebrated video game collaboration between Disney and Final Fantasy maker Square Enix -- is several years removed from its core numbered PlayStation 2 entries, and has instead spent the last few years releasing a variety of lesser titles for handheld platforms. But with a third main Kingdom Hearts game rumored for years, Square Enix seems interested in reigniting interest in the series, and will do so via next year's Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX.

DC Comics Fighter Injustice Due in April 2013

Originally revealed early this summer, Injustice: Gods Among Us -- the DC Comics fighting game -- will be released in April 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo's forthcoming Wii U console. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced the news late this week, clarifying the vague 2013 release window into something that's fairly early into the new year.

Nintendo As Japanese Wood Block Prints

Illustrator Jed Henry interpreted Nintendo characters in a 19th-Century Japanese Woodblock style and the results are these awesome digital prints.  The look of the Woodblock print  give the video games & characters a new sense of drama & life, making the video game scenarios seem like an ancient Japanese myth or legend. Wood Block Pikachu would tear video Pikachu to shreds. 

Chinese Democracy & the Last Day on Earth

These bright, vibrant & creepy stills are from Frederico Solmi's film "Chinese Democracy and the Last Day on Earth".  The film, a mixture of hand drawn animation & 3D video gaming engines, is currently showing at LA's Luis De Jesus through 10/20. The film is the second part of a trilogy and the first chapter "A Song of Tyranny," will be featured in Gallery 2 at Luis De Jesus while"Chinese Democracy and the Last Day on Earth" shows in Gallery 1.
