Artist Gary Ham did this humorous rendition of the Designer Toy Award mascot, The Toy King, being played upon by all of Ham's various creations and collaborations that are currently in consideration for an award this year. We always love seeing artists have fun and play with The Toy King — plus it made us laugh — so we thought we'd pass this adorable little chuckle along to all our loyal readers!

Last Saturday marked the opening of Last Rites Gallery's "Zombie", a group show guest curated by Travis Louie. Before our Toy Mafia Event started, we had a chance to pop into Last Rites for the opening reception. This was truly an incredible show. 

Here are some photographs of the fantastic mural dust completed for his solo show at Hugo 45 Gallery in Braunscheig, Germany. The untitled mural stretches 7 meters (approx. 23') wide over 3 walls and is 3 meters (approx 9.84') high. dust's solo exhibit is titled Organic and it features more than 40 paintings, sculptures & customs over a 120 square meter space.

Prepare to be made dizzy by legendary UK graffiti artist INSA's latest works; GIF-IT. These pieces take his amazing murals and use a a technological twist to bring them to life. A lot of time, animation is used like this and doesn't actually add anything to the original work, but INSA is really using this to take his work to the next level. Shawn Smith has started a new project called "Resketch: a new kind of sketchbook". Resketch is a unique, eco-friendly sketchbook for people who believe in drawing. 

 German artist dust has a new solo show coming up at Gallery Hugo 45 this Saturday, May 18th in Braunschweig, Germany. The show is called Organic and it will feature new paintings, drawings, and sculptures shown on 120 square meters - that is a LOT of work! Also, a brand new video of dust painting a mural he completed prior to the opening will premier at the show!

Check out these amazing sculptures by Brooklyn based artist José Suris IV. All made out of paper (Styrofoam, wireform and paperclay inner), they are produced with such craftsmanship and execution you could easily be fooled into thinking these were made of fur.  Producing, masks, taxidermy forms, and sculptures, José's work is technically brilliant, while being cute and comical.      

Artists Thyra Hilden and Pio Diaz have collaborated to create this stunning light sculpture, "Forms in Nature". Imaging resting your head on your feather pillow, laying down on your bed, and being engulfed in the magic created by the shadows casting your own personal forest on your walls. Inspiring and beautiful.  There is nothing more beautiful than nature, and any chance to recreate something magical like a forest in your bedroom should be jumped at.

Luke Chueh has signed up with Eyes On Walls and together they have made some of his iconic images readily available. The cool thing about this is that not only are the images made to order, but you can tailor that order to specifically suit your space. The designs are available as an art block or a print with a wide variety of sizes and mounts to choose from. Including the pictured Bear In Mind, Eyes On Walls have 5 of Luke's designs available.
