New York based LEGO sculptor extraordinaire (I love that word) Nathan Sawaya recently collaborated with Australian photographer Dean West to create a multi-media exhibit called In Pieces. The images use modern digital photography and sculpted LEGO objects placed within scenes. From a distance the images look like photographs, but upon closer inspection some objects reveal themselves to be composed of LEGOs.

Penny Rimbaud of the legendary Punk band Crass will be reading poetry at New York City's Boo-Hooray this Friday March 22nd, from 7-9 PM. This reading is part of a closing party Boo-Hooray is having for Penny's exhibit Penny Rimbaud: 62 Renaissance Drawings & One Painting, which opened on March 13th.

This Friday, March 22nd, the Sucklord and street artist Cosbe are releasing the super-limited Craniosacral figure, the first 3D representation of the Cosbe's iconic character. Each figure has been sculpted and produced by the Sucklord in pure white and then passed on to Cosbe to customize.

Earlier this month, Spoke Art premiered Jessica Hess' new painting Davis Street I at the Scope Art Fair in NYC and now they've released the painting as a fine art giclee print. Davis Street I is limited to 50 12" x 16" signed and numbered giclee prints.

Tomorrow, Thursday, March 21 marks the opening reception for the Pop Surrealism Show at Opera Gallery NYC! Featuring Ron English and other luminaries such as Sorayama, Sas and Colin Christian and Lori Earley. The opening begins at 6:00 pm. This is definitely an event not to miss!  This exhibition will run through April 7th 2013.
