Indonesian toy artist Bowo Baghaskara has created an awesome new custom for The Jarkarta 9th Toy and Comic Fair 2013. It's an 8" BIC Buddy called The Darkest Mazinger. Bowo says the custom is looking at the dark side of the anime character Mazinger; seething with rage and wanting revenge. The metallic finish and details on the helmet make this this piece stand out. 

M. Clancey took a blank 7" Munny and turned it into a 9.5" custom figure he aptly named Homo Cupressus (Man Cypress). This tree/man combo was created wth Super Sculpey, acrylic paints, faux moss and stands on a 5 x 7" wood base. Clancey says he had fun creating the piece and was happy to have an opportunity to use his wood-grainning skills. Homo Cupressus retails for $150 and will be available Tuesday, March 5th in M.Clancey's webshop. 

Kong Andri will have a new Mas Cris Dunny in his webshop tomorrow. The new figure is Mas Chris Knit Edition, an 8" Dunny sporting a cute knit hat with the face of a cheerful snowman. Although Kong Andri hasn't changed the original Mas Chris colorway for the new Knit edition, he's added the amazing knit hat. The incredibly detailed hat uses black beads for the snowman's smile, pink appliques for his rosey cheeks, a 3D knitted carrot for his nose as well as the red & blue striped Dunny ears.

Prober is the result of a graffiti experiment/collaboration by Patrick Wong & tattoo artist Ryan Tsutsumi. The two artists decided to paint a line down the middle of a black wall and each paint half a face without knowing what the other was going to paint until that day. The two artists then took the Prober character to a paste-up form with the intent on giving it more life & to make its presence known.

As the story goes, Dutch artist Bash's Bruno Bear had a thing for gambling despite the fact he never won. One day while discussing tattoos with a friend Bruno disclosed that he always wanted a tattoo but he didn't know what tattoo to get. Bruno Bear's friend stepped up and said he would pay for a butterfly tat for them both IF Bruno could convince the tattoo shop owner to ink Bruno's face with the name of his tattoo shop. Guess who has a new butterfly tattoo?

Clutter Magazine is extremely excited to announce that we've partnered with Dynamite Rex to hold a design contest revolving around their brand new and highly anticipated "Raaar!" platform, which portrays an adorable t-rex dinosaur!

Wow the previews for BeeFy & Co.'s So BadAss, It's Good Bad Bad Buddha show are awesome! The show will be at BeeFy's booth at WonderCon the weekend of March 29th - 31st. We're happy to bring you a few work-in-progress photos as well as completed pieces. The Bad Bad Buddah is huge so it gave the artists room to go crazy! I love it!

Tokyo's RAMPAGE Studios is gearing up for their second art & toy event and it sounds like a good one!

Check out these Comic Stripped customs from VISEone. This awesome Comic Stripped Hulk  10" MAD*L custom is a commissioned piece. VISEone had done a Comic Stripped Hulk MAD*L back in 2010 and the collector wanted VISEone to keep close to the original piece. Although both customs share the same concept, each figure is a one of a kind thanks to VISEone's collage technique.

Carson Catlin has created another amazing custom, this time taking his signature reticulated style to a 6" Bambaboss commission he calls Bambabadass. It's a new platform for Carson, one he was eager to take on. While Carson continues to customize figures in the style he's certainly known for, he's incorporated new ideas & techniques into each one.
