During the 2nd Annual Designer Toys Awards ceremony, held in New York City on October 13th, 2012, not all of the winners were able to be present so we had some of those we knew would be in abstentia record video acceptance speeches for us. Perhaps the most notable being Michael Lau's thank you video for winning "Best 1/6th Scale," which we didn't receive early enough to air that night:

  The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards are proud to offer an exclusive clear purple colorway of Gary Ham's "Wooper Looper" sofubi (Japanese vinyl) figure. Limited to only 8 copies, signed & numbered on the header card, these will cost $60 each exclusively at the Designer Toy Awards Ceremony.

The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards will have this custom 7" Kidrobot Mascot by Ryan the Wheelbarrow, entitled "ty_po bot: oldvetica," available for sale at the Designer Toy Awards Ceremony for $200. But what will the 3" version be for?

The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards are is please to offer a one-of-a-kind custom 7-inch Raffy customized by Carson Catlin. Entitled "NYB," the figure has a painted silver exterior and the red interior can be viewed through the reticulation. This original piece of unique toy art will be available during the Designer Toy Awards Ceremony for $250.

The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards are thrilled to offer two exclusive colorways of Artmymind's new 2-inch tall "Hellhounds" resin figure. Made in exceedingly limited quantities, there is the $65 "Bloody Night" edition and the $49 "Clear Coral" version.

The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards' Ceremony — announcing this year's winners in each category — will be held in New York City on Saturday, October 13th, 2012 (during the weekend of New York Comic-Con). Hosted by The Sucklord, the event will be located at Providence NYC (311 West 57th St., New York, NY 10019) and the doors will officially open at 8PM.

  The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards are proud to debut Blamo Toys newest figure: Love Slap. The 2" resin figures, limited to 10 copies hand-numbered on the header cards, are the next evolution (or de-evolution) of the Hugs platform. Exclusive to the DTA Ceremony, these figures will cost only $25 each.

The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards will have some intensely colored "CMYK Gusto" figures by Blurble. Limited to only four copies made, these 4.5" resin figures are cast in transparent green and have been hand-painted. Exclusive to the event, each of these Gusto pieces will be $55 at the DTA Ceremony.

The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards are proud to offer an exclusive edition release of the "Pandara" figure in the "Metallic Silver Edition." Hand-created and painted by Paul Shih, this release will be limited to 5 copies, only 3 of which will be for sale during the DTAs at $55 each… the remaining 2 in the edition will be released in late October on Shih's website.
