When first released in 1997, Margot Mifflin's "Bodies of Subversion" was the first book of the history of women's tattoo art. The 160 page book has expanded and is newly revised, containing over 100 new photos of both tattooed women and women tattoo artists. Bodies of Subversion still contains all of the original information from the original edition including documentation of 19th century sideshow attractions and Victorian society women.

French publishing house Noire Méduse Editions has released a new tattoo book titled "The Graphic Vein".  The book features 15 "new school" tattoo artists who have broken away from traditional American & Japanese styles and prefer an alternative style stemming from a genuine love of art. Their work breathes new life into the tattoo world. 

Swatch Watch released their Tattoo Art collection recently & it is pretty damn cool. Tattoo artist Tin Tin created three designs for the five watch collection with Swiss artist Emmanuelle Antille creating the remaining two. The limited collection is inspired by tattoo artist Filip Leu.

Artists Isaac Fitzgetrald & Wendy MacNaughton have put together an on going series titled 'Pen & Ink', which is comprised of illustrations of people's tattoos & the stories behind them. Very interesting. Below are some examples.

There really isn't much better than two amazing artists coming together to share their expertise and experience, so when Randy Patterson heard about the opportunity to get inked by Industries Finest Diego (Shown with green hoodie) of Graceland Tattoo  and Tim Meuller  (LA Based, grey t-shirt) she jumped on it! 

Have you ever wished you could cover your body in ridiculous tattoos, just for a day? ...well that might just be me. But for anybody who can relate, have no fear, Tina Roth Eisenberg has got our backs! Tina started the company Tattly, that creates designy, cool, typographic temporary tattoos.. brilliant. 

Well Best Ink finally aired on Oxygen last night after being on hold since January. Probably held over not to compete with Ink Master, of which it seems to be almost a carbon copy with just a couple of tweaks. While Kimberly Caldwell (from American Idol) is a little suspect as having any real Tattoo cred, she is just the host, and Joe Capobianco, Sabina Kelly and guest judges make up for that.

What if celebrities had full body tattoos? In the style of...Traditional. Tina Fey Eva Mendez Mary Kate and Ashley..Hee-Hee-Hee Jennifer Aniston... And Friend Hayden
