Been looking forward to the next release from Keith Poon of ToyQube. Meet Ox Warrior, the big bro of previous Dragon Warrior release. Designed by Keith and sculpted by Tony Montalvo this figure is superbly detailed and the paint job and hand finishing from Kieth looks amazing. This release is super limited with just 50pcs up for grabs, available here at a cost of $190. I would love to see one of these in the flesh (without spending the $200 tho). The first ever vinyl toy release from Alexone sees this awesome piece called French Lowrider. Based on one of his paintings (a tribute to his old Citroën BX), Alëxone Dizac, brings the surreal to life with the aid of sculpture by Julien Moreau and production by Artoyz Originals. This version is limited to just 150 pieces and stands at 6" tall (9" wide).  The masked penguin driver has two bendable arms (plus and extra in the removable cap). 

Can't say I'm particularly knowledgeable in the sport of curling, it seems it would involve a lot of beer drinking, but i'm sure that's just my imagination. This does not, however, effect my real enjoyment of these figures. Designed and modeled by Fabrice Le Nezet, today he told us a little bit about the process of making them.

Benny the Dreamer is a cute (not so little) figure produced by Okedoki and VTSS Toys. Limited to 200 pieces, he stands at 11.5" and is produced from Polystone with a leather scarf. Retailing at $280 each one is individually hand painted, and is packaged in a laser etched bamboo box with metal engraved plaque stating production number.  

Incoming on Monday May 9th (12:00 noon Central time) is the Brandt Peters x Ferg, Trouble Boys No 10 (Hatchet). Limited to just 250 pieces, he stands at 6" tall and is priced at $85 (including worldwide shipping via FEDEX or EMS). This ones comes with a 3 piece suit and tie (very suarve), 2 axes, 2 sets of arms, 2 sets of lenses (black/amber), and a removable stove-pipe hat and helmet. Phew. These do not hang around long, so if you have to have one, you better be online at 12 sharp!

We welcome a new face to the world of designer vinyl in the shape of Plastic City! They finally announced some teasers for their upcoming figures from Tristan Eaton, Jermaine Rogers, MCA and Josh Taylor. Always exciting to have a new company in on the scene, hoping to take the designer vinyl world back to its art roots and heyday. Certainly something they are looking to do with those artitst involved. Looking forward to more reveals from Plastic City soon!

One of our favorite new figures from Super7 was this Honoo release from Leecifer, this is the second release of the lil guy and is the 'Propane' release, propane of course burning blue. I like smartly named and produced colourways and it already has me hankering after an colourway i just made up in my head that has copper feet and a bright green flame (maybe also a magnesium edition with silver feer and a white flame - are you listening Lee & Brian? haha). I'm sure they are already full of ideas, anyway on with the other forthcoming releases...

Jordan Owen aka Fathom, part of the OhNo!Doom collective, has been making awesome looking plush for years now, doing constant battle with the unprecedented kings of the plush world, Ugly Dolls and Shawnimals. To me, both Ugly Dolls and Shawnimals follow similar paths as their figures are rooted in simple, iconic shapes, decorating these shapes with the character of the individual. OhNoDoom! takes a different approach that involves the shape and functionality, designed with a play dynamic in mind.

Been a long time coming for the latest in the Kidrobot mascot figures, this one's from KR fave MAD and it's an awesomely designed figure with some great accessories that have become one of the great features of this figure. How each artist makes it their own by coming up with the most extravagant accessories for the figure.
