As we prepare for the eagerly awaited "Stitched" group show at our Clutter Gallery (163 Main St., Beacon, NY 12508) to open this Saturday, April 13th, with a reception from 6PM to 9PM, we have a couple of teasers of the wonderful plush and soft sculpture creations that have started to arrive for the exhibition.

March plans to be a busy month for Stranger Factory. In addition to hosting Migration, an exhibit by artists Amanda Louise Spayd and Chris Ryniak, Stranger Factory plans on presenting 2 workshops with the very same artists. Migration will open on Friday, March 1st, featuring the plush sculptures, drawings limited resin figures, mixed media paintings of Chris Ryniak and Amanda Lousie Spayd.

Exhibiting pieces with ghostly or spirit-laden themes, the Circus Posterus collective are bringing their unique artistic visions across the pond for a showcase at Artoyz Shop + Galerie in Paris, France.

OhNo!Doom is gearing up for their group show this weekend (opening July 7th, 6 - 10pm). 'Septenary', a group show of 7 sculptors, gathering on the 7th day of the 7th month.  Septenary is the space's second sculptural show, a follow-up to Imaginary Menagerie (the gallery’s sold out sculpture exhibit of 2011).

You may recall not that long ago we discussed the upcoming Monsters & Misfits II group show in Japan and the Circus Posterus online fundraiser that would accompany it.

Nearly a year ago, on the eve of the massive Takayama Spring Festival, an exhibition opened at the Kusakabe Folk Museum in Takayama, Japan: "Monsters & Misfits," a gallery show of originals and customs by Kathie Olivas, Brandt Peters and Chris Ryniak. The exhibit, in the wake of Japan's disasterous Tōhoku earthquake, was a much needed relief fundraiser.

We were lucky enough to get some sneak peeks through of Oh!NoDooms newest exhibition Imaginary Menagerie (which opens July 9th). First up (above) we have Amanda Louise Spayd. Which looks awesome!. The incredible Lana Crook's plush creations (check her out in Clutter Issue 15 - Buy now) are always outstanding, and these sneak peaks of her pieces are no exception, see below. Just look at that detailing!
