I recently posted about artist Jason Freeny possibly taking on Barbie for his next dissection and I am very pleased to say that Barbie is officially in the process of being dissected as we speak! Freeny has been posting work in progress shots on Facebook, like he does with most of his projects. The image above is a shot of his last rendezvous with the plastic icon, where he dissected her head only.

I just saw something pretty interesting on Jason Freeny's Facebook Page. Freeny posted the photo below on his timeline with a caption that reads "I think it may be time...". Jason Freeny performing one of his "dissections" on possibly the most iconic doll ever? That is some exciting shit.

There is something awesome about recycled jewelry, especially if you can recognize what the previous product was. Well when i first saw Margaux Lange pieces i couldn't help but smile back and the reminiscence of the iconic pop culture figure.

French artists, Jocelyn Grivaud, has created an interesting art collection to honor the 50th anniversary of the famous barbie doll. The 'Poupée Poup Barbie' collection shows Grivaud's reinterpretations of famous paintings, photography and sculptures using the famous Mattel Doll.

OK well technically its not Cassette Playa x Barbie but morelike the designer taking on Barbie's other half Ken. Carrie Munden has been working on a collection for Ken to soon be shown for the first time at London Fashion week. Carrie's unique style is something that i think Ken might find hard to take to initially but i can't wait to see what she's come up with for the Prince of Plastic as part of his 50th Anniversatry Celebrations...
