Be@rbrick

Pirates Chogokin Be@rbrick

July 26, 2011 - by Nick
More and more Medicom. They might be testing my patience now... seeing just how much toy fodder i will post. Tho guessing its all part of the celebrations. This is one of the extremely limited 200% Chogokin Be@rbricks, made from metal there have only been 9 designs released in this style, including this one.

Bape x Be@rbrick Collection

July 26, 2011 - by Nick
Another day, another Be@rbrick release! This time it's a capsule collection with A Bathing Ape (is Nigo still involved? or did the sale happen instantly and he's no longer involved? i dunno). Anyways the once hyper popular brand has collaborated with Medicom Toy to produce this collection of t-shirts and A Bathing Ape 100% Be@rbrick. No doubt all done to coincide with Medicom Toy's 15th year anniversary.

Anniversary Be@rbrick

July 25, 2011 - by Nick
Medicom Toy are having one hell of a day announcing their new releases. This massive 1000% Be@rbrick is celebrating their upcoming 15th anniversary, and features the transparent body of the My First Be@rbrick Baby, and is filled with yellow, red and blue balls (colors of the Medicom logo). The rest of the figure is plain white and looks really classy.

Medicom x Stussy

July 25, 2011 - by Nick
Wow this is a lame collaboration - I love Stussy as a brand but man, sometimes they really suck! The 400% Stormtrooper Be@rbrick is decent enough but has absolutely no bearing on the Stussy Brand aside from a t-shirt they have made to sell with it. I just don't get it at all, surely by any stretch of the imagination this cannot be called a collaboration? All the Be@rbrick needs is a Stussy logo on it somewhere to make it a valid collaboration, otherwise it's just 2 companies looking to sell to each others fanbases.

3000% Be@rbrick? Yes Please

July 25, 2011 - by Nick
Medicom Toy's 15th Anniversay Exhibition opens to the public next week and the 'Be@rbrick Garden' has it's first visitors: 10 3000% Be@rbricks in solid colors. 3000%!!!! That's like 2m tall - bigger than me! The celebratory exhibition opens on July 30th at Parco in Tokyo and will showcase products for the upcoming months. There is also an Archive next to the exhibition space that will display vinyl toys made by the company since 1996, charting their 15 years. Wish i could visit it! And bag a 3000% Bearbrick! I could use it as a sideboard!

Wooden Horizon Be@rbrick

July 25, 2011 - by Nick
Damn this is a nice 400% Be@rbrick! The wooden Bearbricks have always been some of the finest toys around, mixing KAWS into the mix made them even more sought after (and expensive too!). This latest figure is made by the same people behind the Wooden Kaws Companion famed Japanese furniture makers. Each figure is made from layer upon layer of wood and is individually hand finished.

Bicycle x Be@rbrick

July 1, 2011 - by Nick
At first glance this might seem like 2 posts in a row on cycling but this Bicycle is the card manufacturer that Kaws (via Original Fake and Medicom) collaborated with earlier this year. The extra ace in the hole with this set are the Be@rbrick dice - featuring bear heads in place of regular dots. A real simple but classy set and you know that Bicycle make the lovliest quality cards - oh yeah and it always helps that the back looks beautiful too.

Medicom x Happy Socks

June 24, 2011 - by Nick
Medicom collaborate with the Ikea of the sock world: Happy Socks. Making bright, colourful, high quality socks for the discerning gent. In this set are a matching pair of socks and 100% Be@rbrick. Nice color combo but i'll pass all the same.

Valentines Be@rbricks

January 26, 2011 - by Nick
Valentines is fast approaching! Time for us blokes to attempt to get our asses into gear and think of something else apart from toys. What's that? Toys are now a part of Valentines? Too damn right they are with this new selection of 100% Bearbricks from Medicom especially for Valentines. There are 4 figures, 2 specific to Valentines and 4 of Disneys BABBI Be@rbricks including some interesting colourways with print on top of chrome... see more after the jump

Dr Romanelli Be@rbrick

June 24, 2008 - by Geoff
Not really a huge Bearbrick fan but occassionally they create something that's very eye catching - generally in 400%. This beauty is by Dr. Romanelli (signature bandaid on the head) was peeped over on the Toybeast site. Like the Andre and Ron English designs this will drop in both the 100% and 400% size. What's so nice about this is the transparent body and the anatomy printing.
