Tonight Stranger Factory opens Migration, the latest collaborative exhibit by Chris Ryniak & Amanda Louise Spayd. The exhibit features the plush sculptures, drawings, very small runs of editioned resin figures, mixed media paintings and sketches from both Amanda & Chris alone and on collaborative pieces. 

March plans to be a busy month for Stranger Factory. In addition to hosting Migration, an exhibit by artists Amanda Louise Spayd and Chris Ryniak, Stranger Factory plans on presenting 2 workshops with the very same artists. Migration will open on Friday, March 1st, featuring the plush sculptures, drawings limited resin figures, mixed media paintings of Chris Ryniak and Amanda Lousie Spayd.

The Blushing colorway of Squibbles Ink + Rotofugi's The Lake Monsters: Snybora vinyl figure will be released this Thursday, February 7. Snybora was designed and sculpted by Chris Ryniak -- the same artist responsible for Kidrobot's upcoming Meltdown Dunny -- and has been released in multiple past colorways.

Here's an eye-catching new riff on the Dunny from Chris Ryniak, whose 8-inch Meltdown Dunny from Kidrobot will launch on February 14 in four colors available from different sources. "Dunny went on holiday to Chernobyl, which turned out to be a bad idea," reads the Kidrobot announcement post. "[Glow in the dark] and semi-translucent, Meltdown Dunny is an 8 inch vinyl glowing ghost featuring dead eyes and what’s left of his pet fish."

Originally created by Chris Ryniak as a custom for the Munky King hosted Reconstructing Misfortune show, which had artists reinterpret the Ferg designed "Misfortune Cat" platform.

Exhibiting pieces with ghostly or spirit-laden themes, the Circus Posterus collective are bringing their unique artistic visions across the pond for a showcase at Artoyz Shop + Galerie in Paris, France.

From the fertive and creative mind of Chris Ryniak comes a thick hunk of wood that has been expertly printed on, laser cut and engraved by the fine folks of Ink It Labs. Known as the Bugglestump Forest, this adorable beastie diarama is approximately 3"W x 2.5"L x 2.75"H when fully assembled and costs a mere $50.

OhNo!Doom is gearing up for their group show this weekend (opening July 7th, 6 - 10pm). 'Septenary', a group show of 7 sculptors, gathering on the 7th day of the 7th month.  Septenary is the space's second sculptural show, a follow-up to Imaginary Menagerie (the gallery’s sold out sculpture exhibit of 2011).

Finally with SDCC fast approaching we are starting to see some more toys that are actually likely to make me part with my cash! And this new figure from The Triple Crown of YoYo and Chris Ryniak is most certainly worthy of your attention!

While this 7-inch-tall vinyl monster was initially created as the prize for anyone placing within the top three of the Standard, Two-Handed or Ariel Freestyle divisions at the Triple Crown of Yo-Yo event in Chicago on July 28th, it will actually make it's worldwide premiere at Rotofugi's booth during the San Diego Comic-Con 2012.
