Stranger Factory Opens "Migration"

Tonight Stranger Factory opens Migration, the latest collaborative exhibit by Chris Ryniak & Amanda Louise Spayd. The exhibit features the plush sculptures, drawings, very small runs of editioned resin figures, mixed media paintings and sketches from both Amanda & Chris alone and on collaborative pieces.

March plans to be a busy month for Stranger Factory. In addition to hosting Migration, an exhibit by artists Amanda Louise Spayd and Chris Ryniak, Stranger Factory plans on presenting 2 workshops with the very same artists. Migration will open on Friday, March 1st, featuring the plush sculptures, drawings limited resin figures, mixed media paintings of Chris Ryniak and Amanda Lousie Spayd.

The Blushing colorway of Squibbles Ink + Rotofugi's The Lake Monsters: Snybora vinyl figure will be released this Thursday, February 7. Snybora was designed and sculpted by Chris Ryniak -- the same artist responsible for Kidrobot's upcoming Meltdown Dunny -- and has been released in multiple past colorways.

Here's an eye-catching new riff on the Dunny from Chris Ryniak, whose 8-inch Meltdown Dunny from Kidrobot will launch on February 14 in four colors available from different sources. "Dunny went on holiday to Chernobyl, which turned out to be a bad idea," reads the Kidrobot announcement post. "[Glow in the dark] and semi-translucent, Meltdown Dunny is an 8 inch vinyl glowing ghost featuring dead eyes and what’s left of his pet fish."
