Awesome 3D Street Art by Shaka

February 24, 2012 - by erica
Marchal Mithouard is a French artists who goes by Shaka. Shaka is known for his amazing three-dimensional, street art inspired, paintings. For using such intricate shapes and bright colors i find it interesting how realistic his work comes out.. blue, pink, green, and yellow are not typical colors used to create a realistic face, but Shaka knows how to do it, and kill it.

Not everyone, it seems, is sad to see a certain wizard go. Photo was taken by Sarah Harding-Roberts, originally posted on the very fun Picturesofwalls.com

Shin Tanaka

July 15, 2011 - by baykiddead
Or as I like to say, Shin Motherf****n' Tanaka. Or simply, "Master." That's what Shin is, a true master of the medium. By now his legend is just that, and anyone who follows the paper world knows it as gospel by now. But just in case, and in an attempt to bring this highly deserving artist a wider following, it bears repeating. As I mentioned in my last post on Shin (HERE) his beginnings as a designer go back to his formative years craving kicks he couldn't afford. So he made them himself. Out of paper.

D*Face Pool Paint attack.

July 6, 2011 - by miranda
What do you get when you cross street art legend D*Face, skateboarding, spray paint and a pool?? An awesome geometric "Pollock-esque" piece of street art, that's what!! The planning of this piece took D*Face and his team almost a year, to the point of execution. The width of the spay could be varied depending on the angle of the front of the skateboard. All very genius, and its pretty surprising that this hasn't been done before.

Writers Backpack from Sprayground

April 15, 2011 - by Nick
If your nightly excusions involve the presence of rattling cans in your backpack rather than a trip to the 7-11 for some milk and a loaf of bread then they differ greatly from mine. However this backpack from Sprayground may cater to your needs perfectly. Slots for 8 cans up front, the inside has room for another 2 as well as room for your markers, caps as well as a padded section for your macbook. Perfect!

Desktop Dumpsters

April 7, 2011 - by Devin
Really diggin these desktop dumpsters by steelplant. I can't wait to see blanks for these! I think it's inside every mischievous artist to want to turn something as awful and smelly and disgusting as a dumpster bin and make it cool and artsy. But i quite like the idea of a home version that can sit on your desk and hold a few cold beers as well. A lot of the customs are pretty creative and detailed and all hand painted. I'll be checking back regularly for the blanks and looking forward to seeing what other artists do with these things.

Tilt Screaming Hand Tryptch

April 7, 2011 - by Nick
As you know if you read my posts alot i'm a massive fan of the French graffiti artists out there, now everyone else is too and prices and products are ever increasing from Mist, 123klan, Tilt, Andre, Atlas etc. Last Concept did this series before with some awesome results, producing sets of 3 decks from each artist that were available separately or as a set. This new design from Tilt uses the classic Screaming hand design created by Jim Phillips for Santa Cruz.
