On September 12th, 2012, the Toy Art Gallery will host the official release of Jeremy "MAD" Madl's latest blind box creation: Series 1 of Bruce Lee's Temple of Kung Fu. The release party will be open to the public and will begin at 6pm. MAD will be in attendance to meet fans and sign the Temple of Kung Fu blind boxes. In our first ever live video interview (excuse the crudeness - we are testing various technologies), we talk to Jeremy Madl (Mad Toy Design) about his recent collaboration with Round 5 to produce a brand new line of Bruce Lee figures. The line up was unveiled at this years San Diego Comic Con, so it seemed like the perfect time to catch up with Jeremy and see what this project was about.

Jeremy "MAD" Madl has posted images on his Facebook and Instagram accounts showing off his newest resin figure sculpt: the Modern Hero. You make recall that a while back we posted regarding Madl contemplating self-financing his Modern Hero design through Kickstarter, so we're not sure if this is merely a prototype for going that route or if he's decided to completely self-finance this resin creation.

Android Series 03 Coming Soon

Andrew Bell has announced the DYZPlastic will be releasing the Android mini collectible Series 03 hopefully by the end of July. The series was originally slated for an earlier release, but improvements in the manufacturing process have delayed the release date slightly while resulting in a "better than ever" production release.

MAD's Toxic Mini MAD*L Announced

Jeremy "MAD" Madl has announced the next in his series of hand-cast resin Mini MAD*L figures will be the Toxic edition, a glow-in-the-dark version of the popular designer toy. Each of these 3-inch-tall figures will come packaged in a custom gift box alongside a signed & numbered certificate of authenticity. In line with the previous editions, these will be limited to 20 pieces worldwide with a price of $50 each.

Crystal Mini MAD*L Remade for Breaking Bad Producers

Late last month, the stunning third entry in Jeremy "MAD" Madl's recent line of limited Mini MAD*L resin figures -- dubbed "Breaking Bad" for its blue crystal design -- came and went within moments of dropping on his webstore. Seems the producers of the television show that inspired its moniker missed out on the release, and reached out to MAD about getting their hands on the figures.

He's been teasing it for a couple weeks, but Jeremy "MAD" Madl will be releasing his transparent blue "Breaking Bad" Mini MAD*L figure at some point today. Like the two earlier (Clear and Black) releases, the three-inch resin figure is limited to just 20 pieces, and we suspect it'll be $50 -- and sold out in no time flat.
