Troy Martin's "The Executioner"

June 17, 2013 - by specialK
Troy Martin has created a new series of custom Munnys & Dunnys he calls Kaprabob. The Kaprabob species live all over the world and are divided into specific clans, some friendly, some not so much. My favorite Kaprabob is a custom 8" Munny called The Executioner. Troy did an excellent job sculpting his horns and giving him an "evil" black & red paint job.

Riser's Amazing "Storm Drone 13"

June 12, 2013 - by specialK
Wow! The cropped headline photo doesn't do this custom Munny from Riser any justice. Riser's well-honed professional prop building skills (he creates props for TV & films) really come through in this unique piece hes named Storm Drone 13. Riser obviously devoted many hours to sculpting, machining, sanding, molding and painting this custom and one can easily see it was a labor of love - with fantastic results!

M. Clancey's "Autumn Stash" Custom Munny

June 11, 2013 - by specialK
Here are some photographs of one of the amazing customs M.Clancey created for last week's Dream In Plastic custom toy show. Titled Autumn Stash, this 7" Munny sits on a 7" wide wood base covered in faux moss bringing this custom to a height of 10". In addition to the wood and faux moss, M.Clancey used Super Sculpey and acrylic paint on this figure, giving Autumn Stash tons of detail and texture in the process. Autumn Stash is currently on display in Dream In Plastic (located in Beacon, N.Y.) and is available for $300.

Laura Lorén's Noëlle

June 4, 2013 - by specialK
Laura Lorén's latest custom is a bit of a change for her and it is pretty damn cool. Laura calls this custom Noëlle, and like her prior customs, Noëlle is impecably dressed in Laura's designs. Noëlle wears the head of an 8" Munny bringing the size of this custom to 14.4" tall. Laura sprayed the Munny "helmet" with black and olive shades and styled it with a black turban adorned with a creme/olive/grey silk ribbon and special silver brooch.

David Kraig's Wolverine Custom

May 22, 2013 - by specialK
For his latest custom, David Kraig transformed a fresh 4" Munny into a 5.5" tall & ripped Wolverine! Using Super Sculpey & acrylic paint, David bulked up Wolverine's arms, gave him his signature chops & hair & that angry scowl we love so much. This Wolverine custom even has a little six-pack going on! David used real stainless steel for Wolverine's blades and even included his indian chief belt buckle!

Bash Project's New Labbit & Munny Custom Set

May 20, 2013 - by specialK
Bash Projects has a new set of customs available now on his website! Titled Bert the Beaver and His Wooden Labbit Home, the set consists of Bert a 2.5" Munny, and his carved 10" Labbit home. Petter of Bash Projects took the time to carve out the mid-section of the Labbit, making a small room for Bert to hang out in. He then added pink berries and painted the figures to look as though they're made of wood.

DeeTen's Royal Time Keeper 7" Munny

May 15, 2013 - by specialK
Royal Time Keeper circa 1886 is a 7" Munny created by DeeTen for Sub-Urban Vinyl's New Beginnings group show. DeeTen's Steam Punk style does not allow him to skimp on details and this custom is no exception to that rule. DeeTen did an amazing job on the clock - all of the cogs & coils are visible and the hands & face of the clock look make it look as if it were a working time piece. I especially think the Time Keeper's lace collar was a great touch.

Shadoe Delgado's Mega Munny!

May 13, 2013 - by specialK
After a bit of a break Shadoe Delgado is back with this new 18" Mega Munny he created for the Oakland Museum of California's We Customize exhibit. The exhibit features the different ways people customize or alter everyday objects. Shadoe took 3 weeks to sculpt the Mega Munny and proceeded to add the antlers & paint in 3 days. This piece was Shadoe's first completed Mega Munny and he says he "had a blast" working on it. He enjoyed it so much he has plans to go even bigger.

May 8, 2013 - by specialK
Take a look at Carson Catlin's contribution to the upcoming SubUrban Vinyl show New Beginning! Titled The Kill, the main piece of the group is a reticulated Colus Dunny. Carson mentioned that he wanted to "stay true" to the design of the base so he placed the cuts so that they "would flow with it". Loaded with detail, The Kill Colus Dunny retails for $400 and the four Munnys are available for $150 each! Visit Carson's website to see more of his amazing customs!
