San Francisco-based sculptor Shadoe Delgado was commissioned to craft this fantastically detailed 5-inch custom Labbit entitled "Old Blu." The vinyl was extensively remodeled to create a new base upon which Delgado could paint, adapting the normally smooth vinyl form into a weathered leathery texture with plates lining it's back like some prehistoric creature. The conversion of the normally tiny cigarette into a massive, chewed-up cigar is a masterful additional touch.
Instead of calling the fifth installment of the Smorkin' Labbit line Series 5, Frank Kozik and Kidrobot have gone for the far more enticing name of "Mini Smorkin' Labbit Now With Fried Chicken," which ingeniously references the fact that some of the upright standing Labbits in this series are holding fried chicken wings in their greasy mitts.
San Francisco artist Shadoe Delgado, has customized this 10"Smorkin Labbit named Grundelmumch.
The Grundelmumch's ass is a bit disturbing, but i appreicate the large yellow/green balls.
