We've been eagerly awaiting the full reveal of the Tara McPherson Kidrobot Black figure (blogged) and so were super excited to receive a parcel from Kidrobot yesterday with a pre-release for review. The official release date is tomorrow -  Thursday October 6th.

This figure is super sexy! Our favorite of all the KR black figures, and possibly our favorite Tara figure released yet, really capturing the essence of Tara's smooth lines and illustrative style. She worked closely with Kidrobot on every aspect of this sculpt to create a very realistic human figure with an android feel. Almost the perfect woman - or is she?

Priced at $250 this figure is limited to 200 pieces, all hand numbered. It stands at a perfect 8", bursting out from a smoky grey base.

Everything about this figure delivers quality, from the packaging, (matte black wrapped with a gloss ribbon sleeve) which contains a print along side the figure, to the material used (a solid vinyl). The only thing i have to say on the negative side, is that it would be nice to see this figure without and joins (at the wrist or in the hair where the arms attach), however that is pretty much impossible within the manufacuring process, and it does not distract from the quailty of the figure.

Kidrobot have done an excellend job with quaiity control on this figure, this one will fly out of the door! Congratulations Kidrobot and good luck to everyone who wants to get their hands on this gem!

Available via kidrobot.black.com and select retailers.

From the press release:

"There is no hiding.  A succubus walks.  Lilitu.  Sexually charged, violently destructive, A Sumerian myth, a demon to be feared.  To love and to kill without remorse, one man at a time.

The unsuspecting only see the near-perfect human likeness – enticing eyes, supple mouth, lithe body - little noticed are the breasts of dripping poison and malicious intent.

Emerging from the cool, smoky depths, fresh from one kill, looking for the next, Lilitu is poised to allure. Calculated stance, intimately glossy, designed for desire – come nefarious courtesan."
