Been way too long since i did a custom but was invited to participate in the Icons show organised by The Hang Gang that takes place in Leeds tonight. My 400% Be@rBrick, entitled Pointy Bastard was lovingly-so named because of the number of times i stabbed myself on his spikes when sanding or attempting to hold him to spray him.

The Bearbrick features a new insane head sculpt, new arm sculpting and some drips on the body, all made with Milliput expoxy Resin and was then sprayed (no masking for once - inspired by seeing Skinner and L'Amour Supreme Painting freehand at NYCC) with Golden Fluid Acrylics thinned for airbrush. Really pleased with the way he turned out, i could have spent another week or 2 sanding him to perfection, but that's just cos i like my customs to look like production and i'm no good at sculpting so i prefer to carve and sand out the design from the lumps of milliput i whack on. I'll post up some WIP shots sometime and you can see the very unprofessional manner in which this custom was born!

Go check out The Hang Gang 'Icons' show in Leeds! Exhibition runs through till Thursday 3rd November. Launch Party – TONIGHT! - 6pm till late

OK, to be honest, I don't get the hype. Every year, Japanese fashion brand UNDERCOVER teams up with Medicom to produce a new variant of their GILAPPLE light. It's a small, realistic-looking apple with an old-timey car headlight wedged into its core.
