The name really says it all..."Dirty Dishes", yes you read right, and not in the 'ew this plate hasn't been washed in a week kinda way'.  In 2010 this UK based company (yes i know their web url is .es) had the idea of using vintage soft core, 'cheeky', pictures and putting them on dinner plates! At first they thought this was a silly idea that would never fly, but after trying it out to a great response their company, Dirty Dishes, was born.

Their dinner plates are 10" porcelain 'coupe' plates, and are produced in limited runs. They currently have 6 designs are are hoping to expand their collection soon. These plates are not only decorative pieces, yes you can eat your dinner from them, and be delighted by the image that greets you when you're all done. What better incentive could there be to finish it all up??

The plates are prices at £14.99 each or £75 for the set. Each plate is stamped with the Dirty Dishes logo and comes its very own presentation box with plate stand included. Perfect present I'm sure you'll agree. Available now from dirtydishes.es

James Jarvis is a name you don't hear too often anymore in the world of designer toys. And while this isn't exactly a designer toy, it's close enough for me. Case Studyo have teamed up with one of the fathers of Western vinyl for a new ceramic piece titled AMPHORA.
