The brainchild of Tim Munz (a.k.a. timselF), Igor Ventura and Manny Rivas, the Most Wanted Series was born on the Kidrobot Forums and — in 2009 — brought together some of the most sought after customizers in a blind boxed dunny series. That first series instantly sold out and garnered many accolades for the overall quality of the pieces. Early last year saw the release of Most Wanted Series 2, which was met with greater demand and even further praise. And now we will witness the release of Most Wanted Series 3.

Two small pre-orders for dedicated fans of the blind boxed custom series have already claimed some of the release quantity, but the majority of the remaining boxes will be sold for $98 each (plus shipping) in the Most Wanted online store on Saturday, June 30th, 2012 at 12 Noon PST. Should you miss out then, a smaller follow-up release will happen on Monday, July 9th at 6PM PST to give people one last chance to own an amazing piece of vinyl toy art. Each blind box will contain a custom 3" Dunny — with any associated accessories — and an artist card, as well as one lucky buyer finding a Golden Ticket redeemable for a custom "Dunny" by Gomi and another person finding a Silver Ticket custom by Ryan the Wheelbarrow.

Above is a specially designed master list of the custom dunny designs with ratios made by our friends over at SpankyStokes. While the image is not an official release from the Most Wanted Crew, we're assured that all the information on it is accurate… or as accurate as this mysterious collective gets when it comes to leaking information about their releases in advance.

Ryan the Wheelbarrow's contribution is a multi-colored evolution of his ty_po dunny design, which involves glossy spray painting the vinyl form over which dry transfered shapes and typographical tidbits are added to create a cohesive whole. While his design does not include an accessory, each of these figures will comes with a hand-made silkscreened card-sized print that is signed and numbered. Listed at a ratio of 3-in-56, there appear to be only 6 of these in the series.

While UK-based artist MAp-MAp's two designs for the series are blacked out, we do have an image of one of them. Both his designs are limited to 1/56 (or two copies each), but we're informed that the second design is more a variation of the above theme than something completely different. This stunning crafted effect is created using polymer clay which is hand-styled to prestine shape before acrylic paints are used for the detailing.

Luihz Unreal's "Gamerboy" design is a fun poke at our video gaming culture while still remaining sweet and lovable. While the sculpted element on the top of the head is smooth, it's the eight-bit flower accessories that truly caught out attention here. Listed as a 3/56 ratio, there should be a total of six of these custom dunnys even though only five are pictured above.

The brilliantly sculpted "IScream" by Gomi features the dunny transformed into a sitting child screaming over his fallen ice cream cone accessory. There are multiple variations of this figure, based around the flavor of the ice cream: three vanilla, two chocolate, two strawberry, one mint chocolate chip, and one rainbow swirl flavor. With a total of 9 customs in the series, this is one more than the ratio of 1-in-14 would imply… but it is hard to believe that anyone would complain over an extra chance to receive this piece.

NEVERCREW's "Good Morning Beard" customs feature three sculpted eyes and one bent ear as well as partial flocking of the bodies to create the beard effect that the razor accessory is cutting through. Produced in a quantity of 8, these are 1-in-14 ratio pulls from the blind box series.

The "Golum Dunny" by Kevin Gosselin features not only an incredibly sculpted & painted 3" dunny but also a small sleeping bunny in a backpack and reimagined 1.5" labbit as a pig. Issued 3-in-56, there are only six of these figures to hopefully find.

Igor Ventura's "Pyromaniac Puppet" likes to live life dangerously, it would seem. The beautifully sculpted dunny hangs from marionette strings while holding a torch accessory rather near his faux wood finish. Limited to six pieces, this is a 3-in-56 ratio custom.

Only six of Tim Munz's "Krunkenstein" custom will be in the series (3-in-56 ratio), but their perfectly made upside down alcohol bottle ears are sure to impress those that open a box to find one. And, if you look carefully, you might note the tiny neck bolts that have been added to each vinly piece.

This 1-in-14 custom piece by Grimsheep is a wonderful example of detailed, fine-line painting, though it does have much more of a Mexican "Day of the Dead" flavor than we typically see from Grimsheep.

Sergio Mancini, hot off of his inclusion in the Dunny Series 2012 production series from Kidrobot, delivers six (3-in-56) custom "Paperboy" dunnys for the Most Wanted release. Each beautifully painted piece comes with a cap, stack of papers and single newspaper accessories.

Angie Vázquez Cilia, better known as Matucha, crafted these "Don Pollo" custom dunnys — named after the chain of 'authentic Mexican chicken' restaurants — for the blind boxed series. Each comes with a tiny hat, apron, scissors and chicken accessores. While listed as being a 1/14 ratio release, there is a persistant rumor that there are only 5 of the regular green version (above left) and one of the brown variant version (above right).

Frank Mysterio's "Zombie Mariachi" figures are limited to only four pieces (1/28 ratio), though one of the four is the sculpted face variant seen in the background above. As you can tell from the base design with the belt, sombrero and spurs, these are customized "El Mariachi" dunnys from the Azteca 2 production series.

Each of RunDMB's six "Most Wanted Crew" customs was made using Posca markers on the vinyl form and come with a velcro-clasping sweatband & two detailed baseball bat accessories.

Chauskoskis's wonderfully rabbit-oriented custom is intricately sculpted, including even the whiskers in the design. And while there are 10 pieces shown above, we're informed that one is a Prototype copy and another is an Artist Proof leaving only 8 copies in the blind boxed series (1-in-14 ratio).

Dr. Befa's "Los Reyes de Nada" pieces include the crown and spray paint cap topped scepter accessories. While we can only see 6 in the above picture, there should be 8 copies in the series total.

Eric Pause of Pause Designs insanely resculpted "Feelin' Husky (Some Assembly Required)" customs use just about every trick in an artist's bag to create this child in a playground effect. With 8 copies of this over-sized piece in the series, that's one 1-in-14 ratio that is sure to impress.

And last — but certainly not least — we have Nikejerk's "Arr-Manda" has been recrafted into a Matryoshka (or Russian nesting) doll, with the three-inch dunny's split halves held together by magnets while leaving room for the customized zipper-pull to fit inside. Another 1-in-14 ratio piece, meaning eight copies should be in the blind boxed series.

The Most Wanted Series 3 custom dunny series will be released on Saturday, June 30th at 12 Noon PST with a second smaller release on Monday, July 9th at 6PM PST. Each blind boxed custom will cost $98 (plus shipping) and be available in the Most Wanted online store. But be warned: Most Wanted Series releases have a tendency to sell out with exceedinly quick speed, so be prepared to race for your purchase of these pieces.
