Here are some photos of recent pieces by Italian street artist Kenny Random. He has been using a lot of well know cartoon characters in his pieces lately, like Snoopy & Lisa Simpson.
Random had this to say about his use of the cartoon characters "I like playing with fantasy and reality, so I try and find the best location to give more power to all the cartoon characters. Cartoons are very powerful on paper, but on the street they become part of real life; the right place can give them an amazing power!"
"The cartoons give me the opportunity to speak directly to people, it's like opening a secret door to the unconscious. For example, in Lana ( shown below), she represents the idea of pureness and innocence, things we might have lost for a long time, but things we'll never forget. I really hope my new works can give people an opportunity t reflect, giving them a break from their everyday life."
