In just a few weeks, Playmates Toys will be releasing action figures to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. If these figures look familiar to you, it’s because they were released a couple of years ago as part of Playmates’ now defunct “Classics” line of TMNT toys and were based on the original Turtles film.  This new release though looks like it has some very cool improvements upon the original. Most importantly is the interchangeable heads. The original release of these toys were widely criticized as having strange or awkward face sculpts, while this new release comes with each original head, they also come with three new heads per turtle! In addition, it looks like they have given the turtles four different skin tones, which somewhat resembles their original Playmates toys incarnation. Finally, Playmates is including a variety of cool, and super-referency accessories, including a foam bat and mop for Donnie, a TGRI canister for Leo and Mikey comes with both “Combat Cold Cuts" and a box of “Traditional Pre-Fight Donuts."

These toys will be going for $20 each as a Walmart exclusive to be released on 4/10/2016. No word yet on a Vanilla Ice figure to join them, but we’re holding out hope.
