Greatest kids book ever...and scared the bejesus out of me when I was a nipper. When I heard a film was being made of Sendak's classic I was worried. But with Spike Jonze directing - IMO Gondry or Jeunet would have been better - it should at least pack a visual punch to match the book.

The saving grace could well be Dave Eggars writing the script - if you haven't read "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" do it - it should work out for the best. Plus Forrest Whitaker is voicing Wild Thing.

Fan-bloody-tastic.
