And it's mine all mine....mmwhha ha haaaaa.....
Seriously, I asked Motor to do an 8" Qee custom for me and he came up with this beauty...a vintage wind-up tin plate toy. He even invented a lil back story that just completes it:
"A little history: back when walt disney was just starting out, he had a rival, oscar thompson owner of tommy toons studios, creator of benny the bunny. There's debate over who ripped off whom, but in the end disney won. When the cartoons were black and white, no one had a problem with the similarities between a certain mouse and a certain bunny. But once color cartoons and merchandise started rolling out, there was clearly a problem.
It's unclear who had the color scheme first, but Disney's hit the shelves out before thompson's. So when disney sued thompson, disney clearly had the upper hand. Thompson put up a fight but eventually went belly up, thus the rarity of benny merchandise, especially the "mickey" version. I feel lucky to have found one. It's hard to find any of the old thompson characters, so if you happen to see one snag it."
