Our friend, great artist and all round top fella Lou Pimentel has a new project in the works to help him pay his way through School. Many of you will know how hard this is to do when you have a family to support so I hope by posting here we can generate some interest (and cash) for him, and you can get yourselves some original art for a bargain price :D
"So rather than getting a lil part-time job making no money I decided to do a series of wooden plaques.
Each plaque is primed with gesso, and is painted by me with inks. They are roughly 4-5 inches tall, and very affordable. $25 bucks shipped in the USA and $28 bucks shipped over seas. You can see samples of the plaques I've done here on flickr, and you can also check out my website for more images www.lou-pimentel.com
If people see something they like they can email me to see whats available at LPimen3394@aol.com
I plan on doing 1000 of these, i will be working on them between school assignments, commissions, and show submissions. I will keep coming up with new ideas for plaques, but if people like a design that has already sold out, they could contact me and I can make another for them."
