Well Seen wasn't there, and in fact has or had nothing to do with Selfridges (so far as we know), but it really grinds my gears when i read other blogs with SEEN in the title and find that it has NOTHING TO DO WITH SEEN, much to my disappointment.
The lounge (no sofa, so no lounging! Come on people, if itâs a âloungeâ make sure there is some seating of some kind!) itself was smaller than we imagined but was jam crammed with goodies from the likes of, Kidrobot, STRANGEco and Toy2r. I donât think existing toy collectors will visit, apart from an initial inspection, however it will encourage a whole host of newbies to the scene, who stumble upon it by accident and fall in Love.
I can only see the Designer Toy Lounge as positive step in heightening awareness of our niche market. I donât think it will over expose it, or turn it to the mainstream; the section is far too small and only stocks those products many would consider to tread the line anyway.
I personally liked these beaded animal folk...
Big thanks to fran for the invite.
