Anyone who follows KAWS blog from time to time will know that a while back he met up with Japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayama in Tokyo and we heard the rumour that they had been working on a secret project together for the last few years.

We saw the metal 'Future Mickey' figure Sorayama had made previously and knew this figure was going to be something special when it finally came out. The finish looks immaculate and in general looks like its produced at a level beyond the Future Mickey figure.

The 'No Future Companion' will be released on Saturday June 27th, costing $980 USD.

It seemed like KAWS was done with vinyl toys, and I don't think this really changes that, personally. But either way, you can snag six "new" Companions from Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth's online shop.
