When I first saw this "Unlucky Cat" by Ferg and made by the good people of 3A toys I was a bit "meh". I mean, it seems like Maneki Neko is now the design scene's latest fad following the sucess of the RxH cats - the apes are so 2 years ago - so part of me did wonder if this was a comment on that.

That and why would you want to bring misfortune into your home? But aside from the more etheral arguments over luck, spirituality etc this sculpt is pretty kick ass and you know the quality will be top notch. In particular the treatment of the eyes makes this look much better than many other similar lucky cat-esque pieces.
