Wow. Just wow. Just when I start losing a little faith in designer toys something makes my jaw drop and it's no real susprise that Brandt Peters is the one to do it. A teaser pic of this character, "Skelve" was posted a while back but now the first colourway, limited to 66 pieces has been revealed.

Skelve is a shade under 10" in height, made from resin and comes handpainted by Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas. There's only 66 of this version being made and I suspect will be a huge hit with fans of Brandt's work when it's released on April 2. 12 will be available at Brandt and Kathie's "Living Between Two Worlds" show at Gallery1988 in Los Angeles.

The other 54 will go online shortly after at Circus Posterus' online store. Skelve will set you back $150 but for a handmade resin piece that's then been handpainted it seems a great price for some much work.

We got some good news and some bad news from Kidrobot today. Let's start with the bad news because it's not terribly bad. The brand's "Behind the Vinyl" series of product teasers and reveals used to be a weekly affair, but is now shifting to a monthly basis. See?
