The 2011 Dunny series was unveiled last night, and to be honest, I was suprised at the quality.  Many new artists getting to be involved with Kidrobot and produce a series that will have alot of anticipation.  For me personally the Dunny series had become a bit stagnant and over reliant on the bigger names that Kidrobot tend to work with. And a don't mean that as a slight against alot of artists that i consider to be friends, merely a slight jab to the solar plexus of KR hoping that they begin to include new artists to really mix it up again, you know like the good ol days before people knew the names that sell.

Anyway here's the full pic of the 2011 series including a increased contrast shot of the secret design. No prizes for telling us that its a Mishka NYC eyeball design with a chainsaw that appears to have the MNWKA emblazoned on it. Guess someone at Kidrobot needs kneecapping for not making the blacks right on the image.

It's an interesting list for sure from Aya Kakeda's awesome Laika (first dog in space), Le Merde translating his character to the Dunny form. No3 is alledgedly Kronk, not arguing but its something a bit different from him for this series. Great to see one of the old school of eastern artists included in Elphonso Lamm. Maz has a few classic pieces of his, def worth hunting around for! DrilOne's would easily pass for a Kozik design which is a shame, as would anything else millitary lookin i guess tho. Betso's isnt quite up there with his amazing customs but good to see him involved.

The Mister F®ame$ one is a bit contentious for me as to me it is a design that was originally seen in the form of a Qee custom design by Triclops, then as an illustration by Billy T and now as a production toy. Just seems an odd genesis for a Dunny design.

Then we've got more from Chuckboy, Zombie (cos we've never seen them before :P ) and hunter (nice touch) a stunning piece of work from 64colors (fingers crossed for 8" version of this) and 2 designs from Mad, tho to me they look a bit extreme to me for MAD. I guess the Dollar sign is the giveaway, its like MADs illustrations have gone through a crazy ass mutation to reveal this new skullhead shape.

The secret one is show here to clearly be a Mishka Eyeball. which is pretty awesome. Love Mishka as a brand and had the pleasure of chatting with Greg via email. The last Mishka design (flocked ape) was pretty awesome and this one will be just as iconic.
