Doc18 welcomes you to the Toy Shrine, a FREE app out for iPhone today! Originally the name given to his Flickr account comprising of photos of his toy collection it now names one of the cutest and sharpest little apps in the App Store. Its menu screen is especially stunning on the iPhone 4 screen. The app is unique as it is one who's content can expand as both artists and collectors get on board to help expand its content. Well that's my take on it anyway.. Read more...

At the heart of Toy Shrine are 3 elements: Firstly 'The Shrine' comprises of a collection of lovingly shot photos from Doc18's abundant flickr gallery, all optimised for iPhone4's retina display and capable of being selected for using as iPhone Wallpapers.

Second is the 'Masters Pagoda': A glossary of the artists who's art is included in the app. Artists currently involved include Delme, Nerderella, Olive47, Peskimo, Swuink, TADO & Uamou. Also included is a short bio and links to their Twitter, Facebook, website as well as an Email link!

Lastly 'Fortunes' delivers your daily wisdom in the shape of an iPhone Fortune Cookie . Shake the iPhone if you don;t like what you see - which is unlikely as the Fortune Cookies take the shape of art from the artists mentioned previously.

As i said before i think this app is a little gem because of the future potential it has to expand and bring artists and dedicated fans together. And its free! so you have no excuse not to download it and see where the Toy Shrine adventure takes us. Prepare to be excited as i hope more updates will bring more art, artists and awesome photos to our pockets - and maybe even more features!

Bubi Au Yeung is joining Shlap's stable of artists! Now along with Shawnimals, Lunartik, and a bunch of others, you can add some of Bubi's art to your iMessages. This batch is all about pandas. And since pandas are the best animals, I'm OK with that.

I'm usually pretty hesitant to upgrade my computers and phones. With all the added features often come a slowdown in performance and compatibility issues with legacy apps. But I'm pretty much sold on iOS 10 thanks to the inclusion of third-party iMessage stickers.
