Been a long time coming for the latest in the Kidrobot mascot figures, this one's from KR fave MAD and it's an awesomely designed figure with some great accessories that have become one of the great features of this figure. How each artist makes it their own by coming up with the most extravagant accessories for the figure. For example the way over the top designs from Damon Soule, Huck Gee and Sket especially were mainly accomplished with accessories that, in some cases, reskinned the whole figure. Who can forget cramming that ninja bandanna on Hucks figure, or the masks on Damons or the lil pirate beard on Skets. I guess Kidrobot has to weigh up the cost of whether its worth rescupting the figure, the same way they do with the Dunny (props to Triclops for reusing the Kronk mould for their Zombie Dunny last year - clever sods).

This figure does have the cool accessories but the adaptation of the body appear to be a new sculpt, which is obviously cheating! LOL It's still an awesome figure but i just wanted to point that out. I blame Kozik for his 3 eyed and tentacled figure for breaking the status quo, tho there were previous designs like Tristans Loco Kidrobot fig that had a new head sculpt.

Kidriot will be released on May 12th and retail for 60$ in USA, £55.20 in the UK (ludicrous!) and €60 in the rest of europe (still ludicrous). if you live in Europe buy it from a store in America where you can stash it till you want some more toys and then ship em all together. Thats what i'd do! Figure limited to 1,500pcs.

There is also a signing tour: This cross-country mission will infiltrate Kidrobot Los Angeles on Thursday, May 12, San Francisco on Friday, May 13 and Miami on Saturday, May 14. All three events will go from 6-8pm.
