Wow! have to say i'm damn impressed with this latest super set of Dunnys from Huck Gee and Kidrobot. Based off the Gee-mans detailed custom Dunny figures these limited figures are probably the best Dunnys to be released since... well since the Shogun/Geisha sets back in 2007! Not only do these 'Gold Life' figures come in Day and Night versions (like the Gold Life prints) they also come in a Kidrobot exclusive Red colourscheme and a retailer edition in Black...

And the black versions won't be available from just any retailer either, only speciality stores will be getting them in! Oh yeah i almost forgot the figures. Each figure is limited to 500pcs and will retail for $100 a piece making a full set $400. Or €400 if you're in Europe i suspect, but more on that in a sec. These stunning Dunnys are super detailed with loads of custom accessories and clothing that really take this up a notch from a regular Dunny. Most impressively is that they have the look of something that has really had the time and effort spent on them to make them look as awesome as possible, which is the same feeling i have on Huck's customs - the man just knows how to do it right.

Can't wait to see these in the flesh, as thankfully i know a lil lady who will be busting a gut to get her hands on these! Available May 26th - get saving!

So more on the pricing. $100 seems pretty fair for something this detailed, and you know it's gonna sell out quick and 4 versions is just the same as the Shogun/Geisha sets so KR aren't being exploitative there although they are making 200 more perfigure which is 800 x 100 = $80,000 more, but obviously we don't know the manufacturing costs and complexity thats gone on here. The main issue is this dollar to pound/euro conversion. Recent trend has been to do a straight swap from Dollars to Euros so $400 for the set will be €400 when the actual conversion rate puts it at €279. Thats one hell of a difference and makes it worth trying to buy from the states. I know there are many factors involved in trying to get these numbers to work well for everyone but i swear Kidrobot isn't really trying that hard. They are becoming the Apple of the toy world, price wise.
