Super7 unveils a pretty damn stunning lineup for SDCC 2011. Most of all is the news that the beloved Rose Vampire figure will have its last release, thats right, you heard me the Rose Vampire as we know it will be no more after San Diego. The figure is to be superseeded by a new sculpt of the figure, seemingly a taller more evil looking figure more akin to the development of the character in Josh Herbolsheimers artwork. Almost as if the small cute rosebud has grown into a taller darker version of itself.

Personally i'm not as enamoured with this figure as i am with the original which i picked as my fave Toy of the Year in 2009. I'll reserve full judgement till i pick up one of these figures myself, possibly not in this colorway but right that the mo i'm not really digging the shoulders. Alot of my appreciation for the RV was that it was a pretty much small and perfectly formed figure. Subtle yet detailed. Like i said, im reserving full judgement but my hopes of a 2ft tall RV in the current proportions have been well and truly dashed.

Also on Super7's scorecard are some awesome figures in the classic Mummyboy, clear orange Honoo, another colourway of the Little Prick figure as well as some interesting colorways of Leroy C, Burgerbuns, Big Sal and the Mongolion by L'amour Supreme. Not to mention what must be the first release of the Earth Wolf figure, again by Josh Herbolsheimer, but this figure has been made by Medicom. First release being an unpainted GID figure i'm really looking forward to seeing the painted version, not to mention some handpaints by Josh.
