Marshall Alexander has a way with paper. More than just static figures, his characters are always doing something. I first noticed this with his contributions to Papertoy Monsters. Whereas every other figure in that book was content with "being," Marshall wanted his to be doing. His latest production continues that theme. As a new contributor for Planet Pulp, he's been asked to add his effort to the monthly theme of "fake travel posters."

The results? Rick Deckard (famously played by Harrison Ford in Blade Runner) dreaming of the life, and replicants, to be had on the off world colonies. I simply dig the concept and the thinking behind it. And then to go to the next step to make it available for all the other Blade Runner aficionados out there, this is the genius of Marshall Alexander. There's plenty of other cool stuff to see at Planet Pulp and on Marshall's site HERE, including more of his wonderful paper scenes.

For some people, a shitty installment dilutes a sacred series. For others, a cash-in sequel can just be ignored without it affecting the source material. I fall into the former of the two groups.
