Its been around 2 years in the making but "Heavy Metal Qee Show" is just around the corner! 30 UK Artist and Designers have taken the 8" blank DIY Qee and customized the figure by expressing their own interpretation of "Heavy Metal". The pieces are completed and will be displayed for 1 week at Forbidden Planet Megastore in London! The show will start on April 12th and will run through to April 19th.

A 64 page book has been produced to go along with the show. The book has a spread dedicated to each artists creation, with full colour photographs, and information about the artist and their masterpiece. The books will go on sale in-store at Forbidden Planet, and online at fugi.me from the 12th of April, for just £14.99 each.

On the 19th of April at 6pm, there will be a meet the artists session at Forbidden Planet. Some artists will be explaining their designs and talking about their creations. They will sign your show book, and maybe if your lucky doodle on your own blank qee. Of course there will be the usual free badges, cake, and merriment.

The finished toys will go on sale at fugi.me after the show ends, around the 20th of April. You will be able to own your favorite Heavy Metal Qee.

All proceeds from the book and toys will be donated to the Garden House Hospice.

I think Dethrace must be distant cousins of GWAR because not only do they look similar, they are often seen together playing music or hanging out drinking beer. While they may look like family, Dethrace really have an image and sound that is their own.
