Located a couple doors down from our new Clutter Magazine office, there is a fantastic gallery & shop named Dream In Plastic. And here in Beacon, NY — only an hour outside of the City by bus, car or train — the art community celebrates the second Saturday of every month with gallery openings throughout the town. On the second Saturday of June — or June 9th if you prefer — Dream In Plastic will be hosting an opening for their "Custom Custom Show," for which they want:

Toy artists [to] have creative license to create any creature they desire. We encourage YOU to try your hand designing your own toy from a blank figure such as MUNNY, Qee, etc. However, you can really create a toy from anything you like. Cut up other toys and melt them together, sew your toy a little jumpsuit, take apart your VCR and use the pieces - whatever. Multiple toy submissions are welcome.

So they are casting a worldwide net, seeking submissions of customs for their show. If you are interested in being included in this showcase, please contact info@dreaminplastic.com for more information on how to submit a piece or pieces for the show.
