Anti-gravity racer Wipeout 2048 is one of the early standout titles on the PlayStation Vita, and Sony sweetened the pot today with the release of a mass of additional content, which is free for owners of past versions of the series. The Wipeout HD and Wipeout HD Fury add-on packs deliver content original found in those respective PlayStation 3 downloadable releases, bringing two campaign modes and a couple dozen tracks and vehicles into the handheld racer.

For those who already own the PlayStation 3 versions of the games, those packs are available as free downloads on Vita, otherwise players can grab both packs for $12.99, or simply purchase the PS3 games now to unlock free access to the DLC packs. And Wipeout 2048 just got a whole lot bigger in the process.

The Persona series tends to engender plenty of fandom, thanks to its engrossing role-playing tales that mix supernatural elements with great aesthetics and unique social interactions with other characters.
