Check out this superb trailer for Pixar's latest creation 'Wreck it Ralph', a movie about a classic video game baddie who's fed up of being the bad guy for the last 3 decades!
Featuring a whole collection of video game references and some superb videogame cameos from the best in video game characters from the last 30 years, i already can't wait for the movie, it's definitely grabbing my interest way more than 'The Brave' has.
So yeah check out the trailer and meet 'Wreck it Ralph' the Donkey Kong-esque baddie of his video game, the good guy being the handyman Fix-It Felix (no plumbers here!). It's got so bad he's in therapy with other video game baddies like Bowser, PacMan ghosts, M Bison (or Vega if you hail from Japan) and Zangief from Street Fighter (was Zangief actually bad? He was just a contestant surely?), oh yeah and Sega are represented by Dr Robotnic! awesome! Is that Kano from Mortal Kombat too?
Ralph then heads to Game Central Station, searching for a new game to be a part of: queue a montage of familiarish but different looking games to reference as Ralph ends up in games that remind you of everything from Mario Kart, Halo, Call of Duty, Mass Effect.
The line saying 'when did video games get so violent and scary' has me more apprehensive about the movie, the last thing we need is some preachy shit from Pixar about modern video gaming, just make it fun ok guys!
Best cameo, hands down is Qbert
