Capcom revealed today that a pair of its classic Marvel Comics-based fighting games -- 1995's Marvel Super Heroes and 1998's Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes -- will be re-released as a digital two-pack on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this September.
Titled Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, the impending release will add online multiplayer to both titles, complete with a spectator system, various visual filters that let you optionally smooth over the graphics, and dynamic challenges that pop up as you play. Marvel Super Heroes is a straight-up, one-on-one fighter featuring some of the comic brand's biggest stars, while Marvel vs. Capcom pits various comic heroes and villains against characters from various Capcom titles. The latter kick-started a franchise that spawned a pair of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 releases just last year.
Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is expected out this September for $15 (1200 Microsoft points).
