Dave Mayer is an artist from Orange County NY who happens to make these incredible freaky masks that will make your small children cry. Dave uses a variety of materials to put together each individual mask, including modge podge, resin, plaster, paper clay & styrofoam. Masks can be hand painted or airbrushed depending on what works.

This one is my favorite. It was made with rigid wrap plaster over a plastic army helmet and molded to the wearer's face. Dave airbrushed and hand painted the mask using acrylic paint.

The clown is really creepy. When I look at that mask I see this clown chasing after me on a tricycle wielding a bloody ax. I think that's a movie right there, lol!

The masks are incredibly detailed and I can go on forever about the process, so to keep it short I'm going to post some photos of my favorites.

Out to scar some kids FOR LIFE!

Halloween will be here before you know it! Get yo freak on! All masks are made to order & you can contact Dave Mayer's Etsy for information & details.

It's almost Halloween, which means it's time for a bunch of spooky custom toys! Lunartik's contribution to the socially acceptable pagan ritual is a glow-in-the-dark Mini Tea who looks like he's just seen a ghost.

Rato Kim's BoxCats have quickly become a monthly highlight. October's resin kitty was bound to be Halloween-themed, but Pumpkin Cat is still surprisingly adorable.

It's never too early to start celebrating Halloween. Kyle Kirwan knows what's up. He's releasing a Skully version of his Bloom resin sculpture this Saturday, September 10 at noon Eastern. This micro-run has only five editions, one of which is a GID chase.
