As we have previously reported here on Clutter, 2012 marks the 10th anniversary of Kidrobot, and we finally have some release information we can share with the world! The project, titled "Kidrobot X", will be a large-scale promotion encompassing releases, an online retrospective and, what's slated to be an "explosive" kick off event and gallery exhibition at their NYC flagship store.
The exhibition will open on Friday October 12th, to coincide with this years NYCC, and run until Oct 22nd. The invite-only opening night will see limited quantities of the exclusive 8" Silver King Dunny (based on the Tristan Eaton design from Dunny series 1) will be released. This Dunny will remain a NYC store exclusive during the run of the exhibition.
Kidrobot.com will play host to a retrospective of the past 10 years of Kidrobot releases, AND that's not all, the Kidrobot X line will also see releases of 'Bots mini Anniversary X Edition, 'Bots mini Tristan Eaton Edition, a 20" Gold King Dunny AND a collection of t-shirts designed by Paul Budnitz, Tristan Eaton and Frank Kozik.
Release schedule so far:
9/20: 8" Gold King Dunny (all KR stores and KR.COM plus some selected retailers)
10/12: T-shirt collection (all KR stores and KR.COM plus some selected retailers. Also available on 10/11 at NYCC)

10/12: 8" Silver King Dunny (exclusive to KRNY exhibition during 10/12 - 10/22, limited qtys released per day)
Limited to 300 pieces worldwide. Priced at $50
0/25: 20" Gold King Dunny (all KR stores, KR.com, plus select retailers.
