Ready or not, here comes Fall & Winter. It's not so bad, because the change of seasons means new clothes. Converse Japan understands this & they've released a couple of new twists to the standard Chuck Taylor High Tops for Fall/Winter 2012. The first is "Mountain Parka High" takes inspiration from a mountain parka. Thin laces, basic colors & a collar at the ankle give this shoe its parka look. The "Mountain Parka High" comes in three colors - red, black, & green.

The next shoe is the "M-Lace".  What sets this one apart is the thick, multicolored laces that not only loop through the metal eyelets, but wrap around the ankle as well. Both the "M-Lace" & "Mountain Parka High" are set to be released in Japan this October.

While I'm partial to the "hard-luck" Hanshin Tigers, these sneakers - a collaboration between the Hiroshima Toyo Carp and Vans - are super adorable.

Last year, Back to the Future Day came and went without a public release of the Nike Mags. About a year later and we plebs are getting a chance to finally own simulacra of the most iconic movie shoes short of Dorothy's ruby slippers.

Mmmm, donuts... I don't know a thing about hip hop or Odd Future, but I do love their prevalent donut print. The collective has teamed up with Vans to drape their classic silhouettes in their pastry print. The sneakers are somewhat modified from their OG materials.
