I'm very anxious to see "The Man With The Iron Fists", the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film. The film may just be RZA's 'Samurai Showdown' since he's co-written, directed by & starring. Not only does the movie sound cool, but one of the promotional campaigns is just as interesting. 16 movie posters were designed by 10 artists for an outdoor series of exclusive tear-off & take away art for fans and collectors alike. The posters are all very different and very cool. They vary from Japanese woodblock to pop art, back to retro action film illustrations. The revolutionary series is a unique & innovative advertising campaign that forces people to look past the traditional, tried & true routes of promotion. Contributing artists include Yasushi Ono, Ian Keltie, Margaret Berg, & Shawn Knight.

The posters will be posted Monday, 10/22 through Sunday, 11/4 in NYC, LA, San Francisco, Washington DC, Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Detroit, Seattle, Philadelphia, Dallas, & Phoenix.

Parra is one of my favorite artists, but I've never gotten the chance to see his work in person (other than Kidrobot's Pierced, that is).

I don't think I need to explain why Coarse Toys have garnered a cult following. And the German duo's illustrations are just as alluring as their toys.

Swoon! Ever since the event was first teased, I've been wondering if Konatsu would be bringing any of her super cute watercolor illustrations to myplasticheart for her solo exhibition. Well, the above imagine indicates a firm "yes"!
