Alex Diamond is not one artist - it's a project conceived by German artist Jörg Heikaus & heliumcowboy in 2004. "The Alex Diamond Mining Company" is the latest chapter in this story and it brings the project to a new, broader base of an "artist-run cooperation." The co-op uses a wide variety of media including photography which is then painted over such as the photos shown below. The Alex Diamond Mining Company have been exhibited widely in Germany as well as Spain, Switzerland & The United States. Their sexy stormtroopes are a few of the painted photos currently on exhibit at heliumcowboy in Hamburg, Germany. See the whole set right HERE. Ok, now let's get to the pictures!
