March plans to be a busy month for Stranger Factory. In addition to hosting Migration, an exhibit by artists Amanda Louise Spayd and Chris Ryniak, Stranger Factory plans on presenting 2 workshops with the very same artists. Migration will open on Friday, March 1st, featuring the plush sculptures, drawings limited resin figures, mixed media paintings of Chris Ryniak and Amanda Lousie Spayd. Opening reception for Migration will be 6 - 9 PM. The next day finds the Stranger factory hosting The Patina of Time, a workshop with visiting artist Amanda Louise Spayd. Amanda will be sharing her tips and advice about antiquing and distressing techniques on paper, wood & fabric. Participants use their skills & make an "antique" rag doll of their own. The class costs $65 and is from 3 - 5 PM. On Sunday, March 3, Stranger Factory will host Chris Ryniak's Creating Expressive Characters, an intermediate to advanced drawing workshop. This workshop is $60 and will take place 3 - 5 PM. These workshops are filling up fast so reserve your spot right away by contacting Stranger Factory at strangerfactorysales@gmail.com. All of these fantastic events will be held at Stranger Factory in Albequerque, New Mexico.
