UcreateComics is a community designed to give unknown comic book writers & artists a chance to pitch their work and see it come into fruition. Ucreate members can pitch their ideas, characters & comics to the community and have a chance to win a development contract! Each member of the UcreateComics community votes to decide what concepts will be developed into comic books. The aspiring writers & artists keep 100% of their Intellectual Property Rights. To kick off the UcreateComics Pitch, Vote, Create and Fund project, Ucreate has booked the 4 City Big Break Tour 2013, beginning Saturday, May 4th at the Apollo theater in NYC! Keynote speakers include the legendary Neal Adams (Batman, X-Men, Green Lantern), writer/director Kevin Smith ( Smodcast, AMC Comic Book Men, Jay & Silent Bob, Clerks) and writer/editor Chondra Echert (Evil Ink Comics, Armory Wars, Key of Z, Kill Audio, POPGUN 2). In addition to the announcement of the UcreateComics Pitch Competition Winner, the NYC event features Q & A sessions, and talks on important topics like breaking into comic books, knowing your rights and what to look for in a contract.
