The brand new, contemporary and classy looking PIQ retail location — found in the Grand Central Terminal (Shuttle Passage, 89 E. 42nd St., New York, NY 10017) — will host an amazing Valentine's Day event in the form of a Robin VanValkenburgh collection. Known for her ceramic relics depicting "what never was," VanValkenburgh's figures are a hybrid of the whimsical and the historic, using anthropomorphic animals as the base canvas. On Wednesday, February 12th and Thursday, February 13th, her special Valentine's collection will be presented with the artist herself present both days for signings. For this special exhibition, VanValkenburgh will have Beatnik Owl Dude and Bernice Beggadear, both in unique colors and head attire, packaged in custom designed boxes with hand-crafted Valentine's charm necklaces. In addition, her figure Bun Slinger, an 18.5-inch tall cowboy rabbit, will be available in four vibrant colors.
