CES (hosted in Las Vegas) is well underway and yesterday saw the reveal of some big news from Kidrobot. At electronics giant Samsung's booth, Kidrobot premiered a brand new design in its platform arsenal "MiWe", an acronym for Samsung's marketing motto "Meaningful, Innovation, Wow Experience" (aka marketing drivel, which Samsung probably spend an arm and a leg to have an agency come up with).

The installation featured 3 large versions of the figure, painted by Scribe, Buff Monster and Angry Woebots. Also available were 500 versions of the mini figure. The design is somewhere between a Thundermutt a Munny and a Squirrel (lets not mentions last years Designer Toy Awards winner for Best DIY - Fonzo). There is no mention in the press releases from Kidrobot about who designed it, so I am not sure if Tristan Eaton was involved or not, though I am doubting he was as its seems more angular than his usual designs.

Love or Hate the design, If the android series is anything to go by partnering with a large electronics manufacture is a good move for Kidrobot. Increase in sales for this corner stone can only benefit our whole industry. Follow Kidrobot on instagram for the latest images from the convention!
