Rise from your grave! If you've been holding out for a 16-bit upgrade from So Analog's 10-Doh series, you're in luck. Channeling the power of Blast Processing, Nate Mitchell and Sega have worked together to produce DIY and game-themed toys based on the iconic Sega Genesis cart (that's Mega Drive for the folk outside of North America). Having already raised 1/6th of the Kickstarter goal in one day, this series is on the track towards production and some upgrades. If the hands and feet look familiar, they are. Mitchell is currently using the same appendages from 10-Doh Series 2 for this project, but backers will be able to vote on new ones (hopefully Sonic-themed) as a stretch goal.
Thus far, the themed carts include Sonic the Hedgehog, The Revenge of Shinobi, Altered Beast, and Golden Axe. There are also several colored carts available and a few generally themed designs.
Check out the designs below, and pledge $30 for a blank cart, or $35 for a game-themed cart, or check out the additional rewards.
