This year's Designer Con will see the launch of a new collaborative art toy created by Doktor A using Luke Chueh's vinyl "Target" bear figure. Titled the "Mechanics of Life (The Artist’s Daily Struggle with Self Motivation)," this small run multiple has been made in an edition of 50 pieces, 25 of which will be available at DCon while the remainder will be sold online directly from Munky King afterwards. Revealing the internal mechanism of the sad bear, who is required to wind his heart daily, this 8″ tall figure features hand cast, polished “cold cast” resin inset pieces, resin chest door and winding key accessories, combined with the original vinyl toy parts. The figure even comes boxed with a wall background display piece!
Signed and numbered by the artists, this work will be available from the Munky King booth #435 for $250 apiece.
